1. What should I know
about a card before buying a card?
Sti phone card discloses all relevant information about its phone cards
upfront. Simply find the card that best suits your needs through our
Rate Finder, click on the card, and all relevant information will appear
before you are asked to enter an order.
2. Who should use prepaid cards?
International callers, students, travelers, payphone users, or those
seeking to dramatically reduce their home or business long distance
phone bill.
3. Why should I use a prepaid
phone card?
A: Savings:
- STiPhoneCard.com phone cards can save
you up to 80% on your phone bill. Typical STiPhoneCard.com customers
with family or friends overseas report to
us that they save hundreds of dollars each month by using our phone cards with
their home phone rather than dialing direct — and domestic users can
find their bills cut in half.
- Use phone cards at hotels to avoid long distance
surcharges. A phone call from a hotel without a STiPhoneCard.com phone card
can cost you 20 times more
than with the phone card.
- Students often do not have any access to long distance
service in dormitories. When they do, it is often expensive. STiPhoneCard.com
phone cards cost less than
half of most “phone cards,” which bill you for your long distance
calls at the end of the month.
B: Convenience:
- phone cards provide convenience
if you must use a phone but are caught
without change or other money.
- Parents find phone cards a great way to make
sure their children can call home, from anywhere, anytime they need.
- Businesses
find that distributing phone cards to their traveling employees
is a convenient and inexpensive way to handle their long-distance
needs.
4. Can I use a phone card
anywhere?
Please use our rate finder to determine where service is available.
5. I am traveling to another
country; can I use your phone card there?
Please use our rate finder to determine where service is available.
6. How will I know if I've
used up the value of the prepaid phone card?
At the beginning of each call a message will indicate how many minutes
are left on your card. A warning tone will sound during your phone
call when you have one minute remaining. If you try to use the card
again after value has been diminished, you will hear “You do
not have sufficient funds to make this call”.
7. Can I add more time to
my phone card without buying another card?
We do not recommend “rechargeable” cards. Such cards are
a leading source of fraud in the telecommunications industry and using
them increases the risk that your credit card will be used fraudulently.
To protect both you and STiPhoneCard.com, we do not sell such cards.
8. Are there any extra
charges when I use my phone card from payphones, hotels, or other?
Yes. We charge a payphone surcharge of up to $0.65 per call. Please
view phone card details to verify.
9. In what denominations
are your phone cards available?
Our
phone card
s are available in denominations of $5, $10, and $20. All sales are in
US Dollars.
10. How do I use my phone card?
Follow these instructions:
- Using a touch-tone phone
dial the local or toll free access number.
- When prompted, enter
your PIN number.
- When prompted, dial the destination number.
- For US, Canada, or
Caribbean calls: Dial 1 + Area Code + Number,
- For Calls to any other
country: Dial 011 + Country Code + City Code + Telephone Number
- To
make another call do not hang up, press **.
11. If I buy a New
York local access phone card; can I use it in Los Angeles?
If you buy a local access card you can use it in another region but
you will be charged for the long distance call. For example, if you
use a New York local access phone card in Los Angeles then you will
be charged for calling long distance from Los Angeles to the New York
local access telephone number.
12. How many minutes does
each denomination provide?
The number of minutes available for each denomination ($10, $20) is
determined by the rate to the country you are calling. When you are
buying a card on our site we automatically calculate the total minutes
for the denomination you select to a particular country. Each time
you use you phone card to place a call, the number of minutes available
for that particular call will be calculated and announced to you before
the call connects.
13. Do your rates change depending
on the time of the day or the day of the week?
No. You will always enjoy our low rates. Any rate changes will be
published on our site.
14. I have a balance on my
phone card. Can I either transfer the balance or receive cash?
No. If you have a balance on your card you must use it.
15. What is the expiration
date of my phone card?
Our phone cards expire 3 months after first use. 16. Can I make local calls
with your phone card?
Yes.

1. What is your privacy
policy?
STiPhoneCard.com
does not rent, sell or otherwise share with others the information you
provide us. We may send occasional e-mail to you about
STiPhoneCard.com
products. Our full privacy policy is available here: http://stiphonecard.com/privacy.html.
2. Why do I need to register
an account?
We understand the reluctance to register your user information with us.
However, doing so is necessary for us to provide you with the best service.
Our instant-pin delivery can only work efficiently when delivering to registered
users.
Having a registered username and password, for instance, allows our system
to deliver your PINs to different email addresses when you specify, without
requiring additional confirming information or a verification call from
our staff. Likewise, it allows you to purchase from multiple locations,
or to use different credit cards, without being flagged by our system as
a potentially fraudulent order.
Registering a username and password enables us to both deliver instantly
and protect you and us against predatory internet thieves. Your information
will never be sold or abused. The information you provide is used by our
staff to verify the authenticity of your purchase and, on occasion, to deliver
important news and special offers relating to our products.
3. How can you offer these protections?
We maintain a vigorous consumer protection policy to fight fraudulent credit
card users.
Our transactions are encrypted using Secure Socket Layer (SSL), the industry
standard in e-commerce protection.
All attempts at fraud will be reported to the appropriate enforcement agency
and STiPhoneCard.com makes available its own private investigation
service to aid the state police and attorneys general in their pursuit of
credit card thieves.
Last, STi phone card staff are called upon to manually inspect and verify
all first-time orders or orders that meet typical fraud profiles.
4. What if I am still uncomfortable?
Our customer service staff will also be pleased to help you order by phone
at 1-888-784-8750.
5. How do I know that my transaction
is secure?
STiPhoneCard.com guarantees that every transaction you make while shopping
at our site is 100% safe. Period. This means you pay nothing if unauthorized
charges are made to your credit card as a result of shopping at STiPhoneCard.com.
Under the Fair Credit Billing Act, your bank cannot hold you liable for
more than $50.00 of fraudulent charges. If your bank does hold you liable
for any of this $50.00, STiPhoneCard.com will cover the entire liability
for you, up to the full $50.00. STiPhoneCard.com will cover this liability
only if the unauthorized use of your credit card resulted through no fault
of your own from purchases made at STiPhoneCard.com while using the
secure server. You must notify STiPhoneCard.com of the fraud within
60 days of the charge.
To be eligible for this guarantee, in the event of unauthorized use of
your credit card, you must notify your credit card provider in accordance
with its reporting rules and procedures.
6. Is the information I provide
during registration secure?
Yes. The data is encrypted by your web browser before transport and is
stored in a secure database for our internal use only.
HTTP cookies are small pieces of data sent by a web server to your browser
which then stores them on the hard drive of your computer.
8. Why do sites use cookies?
Cookies allow information to be preserved during your visit to a site
or even between visits. This makes it possible for web sites to "remember" the
items in your shopping cart or your configuration preferences for example.
9. How do cookies affect my
privacy?
Cookies can be used to associate your computer with any information
you have provided to the web site issuing the cookie. It is therefore
very important that you trust a web site before sending any personal
data to it via web forms. To earn your trust, we have implemented the
P3P privacy specification on our site.
P3P provides a standardized way of declaring what information is collected
from site visitors, how it is used, and how it is tracked. Cookies are
covered by the P3P specifications. You can read our full P3P privacy
policy online.
P3P also includes provision for an XML data file policy that your browser
can read before you accept a cookie. The data in this file is used by
many of the more advanced browsers to warn you when the web site's policy
does not conform your security preferences. (Browsers generally include
an security preference interface, complete with sensible default preferences.)
10. Who can read cookies?
The cookie protocol specifies that cookies are only transmitted to the
web site that issued them in the first place. For example, the cookies
issued by our site can be read only by us (and you of course).
11. Are cookies potentially
dangerous?
The cookies issued by our site are no more dangerous than the site itself;
not
dangerous at all. Since they can only be read by your browser
and our web server, you should attach the same level of trust to our
cookies
as you do to our site. (So-called "third-party" cookies can be employed
unscrupulously. We do not use third-party cookies. If you are concerned
about third-party cookies, you can configure the latest versions of most
major browsers to block them.)
